i HOPE EVERYONE HAS A SAFE AND RELAXING HOLIDAY TODAY. lET US ALL REMEMBER AND NEVER FORGET THE SACRIFICES MADE BY OUR MILITARY VETERANS, BOTH THEN AND NOW. nO MATTER WHAT YOUR ATTITUDE TOWARD WAR IS, IT IS UNDENIABLE THAT MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF YOUNG SOLDIERS HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES FOR US, STRIVING TO KEEP OUR COUNTRY FREE. sO IF YOU SEE A VETERAN, OR HAVE ONE IN YOUR FAMILY, THANK THEM FOR THEIR SACRIFICES. dECORATE THE GRAVES OF VETERANS WHO HAVE PASSED ON, AND SAY A SILENT PRAYER OF THANKS TO GOD FOR THEM. tHE WORLD IS NOT A PERFECT PLACE, AND UNTIL IT IS, MAY WE ALWAYS HAVE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WILLING TO STAND AND FIGHT FOR FREEDOM.
It's that time of year again, where kids go crazy with all their costumes and insatiable desire for candy. In honor of the holiday, here's a cartoon I drew a few years back. My kids are crazy about hot dogs in addition to candy, so they would probably love some frozen hot dog packets for trick-or-treat!
Anyway, I hope everyone stays safe out there while candy-tracting, dress warmly, and carry flashlights, or glow bracelets or something! Let's see...what other old-person advice can I give you kids? How about, don't eat too much candy or you'll get a stomach ache, tell a parent where you are going, or take a parent with you when you go trick-or-treating, and have your parents check your candy for weird stuff like razor blades and such.
Have fun out there!
This is a very good question, so let's get it out of the way. You may notice that all the cartoons in my galleries--except for coloring pages--currently have a watermark with my copyright stuff plastered across it. I know this might be annoying to some, but there are a couple of reasons for it.
First, I put it there for simple protection. I want the cartoons I make protected from being stolen or being used indiscriminately without my permission. It's a way of saying "Hey, I made this. This is mine!"
The second reason is that economic one that we are all faced with in this world... money. We all need it, much as we hate to admit it. It takes time to create each cartoon, and it would really help to be paid for my time. I'm still working out the details, but if you want to use any of my cartoons, contact me directly at wanyman@gmail..com. My current prices are $3.00 for each clip-art cartoon, and $5.00 for each one-panel cartoon. Any cartoon I make can also be colored for an additional $1.00.
Eventually I'll have a store set up where you can just pick what you want and send payments through paypal, but until then, please email me anytime with purchase questions or requests.
I thought I'd title my first blog post as something other than "Welcome", because that's been way over done, right? And my main purpose for creating this little website is to have a place you can come to get away from that crazy world out there for a while. Think of it as a cozy, comfortable room with a couple of cushy recliners, maybe a fire going in the stone fireplace in the corner.... And here you are, coming in from the cold, stomping the snow from your boots... got the picture? And you're welcome to stop by any time--just don't forget to shut the door behind you!
I originally envisioned this site to include only humorous cartoons, since humor has been my focus my entire cartooning career. But, after talking with people and doing my own research, I decided to include both clip-art and coloring pages, as there is a real need for all three of these types of cartoons out there.
As of this post, this website is brand-new, and I have only a handful of drawings up. But have patience with me! My aim is to post at least one cartoon a day, so my inventory will grow! So visit often, and tell your friends!
